MATLAB's Support Vector Machines now available in Brainer
by Andreas Kuhn
The Statistics Toolbox of MATLAB contains Support Vector Machines as of version 2013a. Brainer is also maintaining these from now on (revision > 2147).
For older MATLAB versions the given interfacing with the Support Vector Machines of WEKA will also be supported in future. Currenly there is no plan to skip the integration of the WEKA interface.
First tests in our common fields of application have not shown any advantages against Neural Networks. Especially when implementing the resulting SVMs into the embedded software, they seem to be resource intensive.
