The main field of VERONET's application (the name stands for the German abbreviation of Traffic Control Object Network) is the "intelligent" control of traffic flows in the form of "intelligent" traffic lights or Car-2-X-communication of futures autonomous vehicles. But VERONET can also be applied in the same way to SmartGrids or for the coordination of automated guided vehicles in industrial production as well as in shipping traffic or similar.
