Vehicle safety is the origin and starting point of ANDATA in 2004 and continues to be one of the primary core areas of competence.
In doing so, we uniquely encompass the entire field of integral vehicle safety
- from the reduction of the crash consequences (passive safety)
- via the avoidance/mitigation of collisions and accidents (active safety, pre-crash systems)
- to the reduction of dangerous situations by connectivity of the vehicles with each other and with the infrastructure (Car2X)
- as well as the improvement of the rescue chain (PostCrash).
Our uniform processes, methods and tools enable consistent treatment and a coordinated transition of any combination of integral safety systems with the best possible effects across all phases of an accident.

ANDATA is one of the founders and pioneers of scenario-, data- and AI-based approaches as well as the Software-Defined-Vehicle in automotive safety.
Amongst others, the validation and approval of vehicle safety systems is carried out by our procedures, methods and tools under the title KISS (Key Competence Integral Safety Systems) at Europe's largest automotive group. To this end, ANDATA operated a joint venture with the Volkswagen Group over 15 years for the broad establishment of the associated ANDATA technologies and tools, which are standard there and constantly being expanded.
