What information is required to obtain a license for the ANDATA software?
Depending on the chosen license modality (user-based, computer-based, SME or industry license, see Which licensing options are available for the software?), additional information needs to be provided in order to issue a license. This is relevant for computer- and user-based licenses.
For a user-based license, the name of the user account under which the ANDATA software is to be executed is required. The software may therefore only be executed by the person assigned to this account. To find out your user name type the command whoami in a command window.

A computer-based license is linked to the MAC address of a network interface on your computer. The software may therefore only be run on this computer. Use the command ipconfig /all under Windows or ifconfig under Linux to find out the MAC address. The MAC address is listed as the “Physical address”.

For SME or industry licenses the name of the organisational unit (department, group, etc.) is required.
