by Toni Palau

We are excited to introduce the ANDATA Fall Release 5.5 of our software, packed with significant performance enhancements and critical bug fixes. This update focuses on speeding up core processes and improving overall usability. By addressing user feedback and fine-tuning our codebase, we’ve optimized key functionalities to provide a smoother and more reliable experience.

The following list outlines the most significant changes introduced with our release 5.5:

  • Stipulator

    • Introduced a new keyboard shortcut, CTRL+I, to invert case selection, analog to Cases > Invert Selection.

    • (SI-364) Display a dialog when an error occurs due to insufficient write permissions during File > Save or File > Save As.... Previously, the error was only logged in the command window, making it easy to overlook.
    • Resolved a bug that occurred when adding reference channels or attributes from a file, either when adding a case to an empty Stipulator project or when using the "Add reference attributes from selected cases" option in the Cases > Import… dialog.

    • Fixed an error that could occur when adding a single case to an empty Stipulator project.

    • Significantly reduced setup time of plot Analysis > Plot attributes > CDF/PDF/Boxplot when working with Stipulator projects containing a large number of selectors and cases.

    • Redesigned and refactored dialog View > Options… to display checkboxes for custom toolbars correctly, preventing overlap with other GUI elements.

  • Brainer

    • Fixed a bug that prevented full GPU support during the training of Backpropagation models. Note: GPU training requires the Parallel Computing Toolbox™.

    • Corrected parameter transformation issues when performing conflict analysis on regression problems.

    • (SI-360) Apply version update to the base models used in Fusion Ensemble models.

  • General

    • Added a new filter function sssmoothdata, utilizing the efficient MATLAB® builtin function smoothdata.

    • (SI-361) Achieved a significant speedup in the ss2dm function based on user feedback.

    • Updated the ssplot function to use an “o” marker for single-sample channels, even when stored as a non-equidistant time series.
