First ANDATA Presentation in the Martime Domain for Automated Docking of Ships and Yachts

For some time now, ANDATA has been researching and developing in the field of autonomous/automated ships, in particular on fully automated maneuvering in ports and narrow environments for the automatic mooring of ships and yachts as well as collision avoidance.

At the Autonomous Ship Expo 2021, ANDATA made its first public appearance in the maritime domain as original inventor and patent holder for automated ship/yacht mooring.

In the automation of shipping, the methodological approach of ANDATA by means of scenario management in combination with artificial intelligence and stochastic simulations is sometimes even more important than in automotive vehicle development. How autonomous/automated ships and yachts can be developed and safeguarded effectively and efficiently and thus essential experience from the extensive automation efforts in the automotive industry in recent years can be accessed and transferred by asking ANDATA directly.

Successful Completion of the Project Metrics: Anomalies Detection and Failure Prediction in the Railway Sector

Together with Siemens Mobility Austria GmbH and Virtual Vehicle Research GmbH, ANDATA successfully completed the R&D project Metrics. The project aimed to use virtual sensors for the detection of anomalies and faults in the railway chassis as well as in the rails and thus to be able to predict the failure of components for predictive maintenance applications at an early stage on the basis of the existing acceleration sensors.

ANDATA succeeded in extending the already available data- and model-based approaches of the expert system, as implemented in the Expectator, to the field of railways and thus repeatedly confirming the universality and pragmatism of the existing, AI-based solutions.

We are pleased about the cooperation with the railway community in Graz and look forward to implementations and further developments in various follow-up projects and equivalent implementations.

ANDATA at the carhs conference "Virtual Testing – Scenario Based ADAS Validation"

Next week at July 1st, 2021 the carhs conference on Virtual Testing #2: Scenario-based ADAS Validation takes place.

ANDATA will contribute with the presentation of

Management, Evaluation & Analysis of Huge Scenario Bases

  • Requirements & pitfalls for large scale scenario simulations
  • Procedures for simulation data quality assessment
  • Analysis and interpretation of specific evaluations
  • Integration of scenario management into requirements management and continuous design improvement processes

Beside some insights from more than 16 years hands-on experience in scenario management some outlook and preliminary conclusions from the project COPE on the collision avoidance with vulnerable road users (VRUs) by vehicle and infrastructure connectivity can be expected.

Start of the project 5G MOBIS for the detection of traffic flows in Hallein and Salzburg

Today the common kickoff of the project 5G MOBIS took place! Based on an initiative of the federal state Salzburg and the Innovation Service Salzburg (ITG), the project is developing solutions for the anonymous, provider-side detection and precition of traffic flows using 5G technologies. The aim is to achieve such temporal and spatial accuracies that the resulting data can be used for novel approaches of adaptive traffic control, active traffic mangement, and for cooperative mobility, as well as for innovative and novel forms of traffic and spatial planning. This is ultimately intended to provide a further, fundamental building block for the continuous improvement and solution of the traffic problems in Salzburg, starting from the model region Hallein/Salzburg.
